Melissa Phillips

Mrs. Phillips moved to Central Oregon with her family in 2004 from California where they had lived for 25 years. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 44 years and they have three amazing children and four grandchildren. Wanting an accredited Christian school for their children, they heard there was a little Christian school in Redmond that offered middle and high school which they needed since their son was going into 9th grade and their daughter into 8th. After their children were enrolled, she was offered a position to teach second and third grade which she accepted and two years later joined the leadership team which she have been honored to serve in for the last 18 years.  Prior to relocating to Central Oregon she taught third and fourth grades in Christian schools in California for 10 years.

She has a Bachelor's of Art in Elementary Education & Biblical Studies from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA and a Master's in Education from National University in San Diego, CA.  She holds an Administrator's License from Concordia University in Portland, OR.

Mrs. Phillips shares "working with elementary students in partnership with parents in the training up and formation of their children and providing the best opportunity for students to know and develop a relationship with Jesus within the context of each school day is what I am the most excited about for the upcoming school year".
