Sharon Dillard

4th grade

Mrs. Dillard met her husband in college and have been married for 43 years. Her husband attended Westminster Theological Seminar in Escondido, CA. and after graduation God called him to serve as the pastor of Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church in Bend. They have served at the church for 34 years. The Lord blessed them with a son to adopt from Guatemala, when he was 6 months old. He graduated from high school this year and works for Delta Airlines. The Lord called her to CCS ten years ago. She loves teaching fourth grade and is enthusiastic to see her students grow in Christ and their love for learning about His creation.  She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida Atlantic University and her ACSI credential for teaching Christian Education.  She was a missionary in Jamaica, when God called her to be an elementary teacher and she has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in Florida, California, and Oregon.

She shares "I love teaching the students a Christian World and Life View in every subject. My students develop a passion for learning. My units on government, economics, oceanography, the Oregon Trail and Medieval Europe are very exciting. My class develops and participates in projects that help CCS and the community. Teaching Spanish to the second grade class is rewarding too! I am excited to get to know my new students and discover their gifts and talents that the Lord has given them.  I am a devoted Christian teacher. My enthusiasm for learning is contagious and will inspire your child".
