For Scholar Athletes Deadline Oct 19, 2021
State, regional, and national winners. Eligibility begins with maintaining a weighted GPA of 3.0 (B average) or better. Applicants also need to be proven leaders and role models within their school and community. And applicants must participate or have participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations.
National Honors Society Scholarship Program Open Oct 1 – Dec 1, 2021
The application process for the 2021-2022 NHS Scholarship program opens October 1, 2021. All senior members in good standing will be eligible to apply.
Most Valuable Student Elks Scholarship Deadline Nov 15, 2021
Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, these scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.
Elks Legacy Awards Open Sept 1, 2021-Feb 7, 2022
350 $4,000 scholarships available to children and grandchildren of Elks members. Eligibility requirements are outlined below. The 2022 contest and application will open in Sept.
Horatio Alger Scholarship Program Open Dec. 1, 2021- Mar 15, 2022
Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. Scholarships offered include state-level at $10,000 each, national level at $25,000 each, and Career and Technical Scholarships for students wishing to pursue a career or technical education at a non-profit post-secondary institution at $2,500 each.

Wise-Geek Women in STEM Scholarship Deadline Dec 2021/ TBD 2022
The WiseGeek Women in STEM Scholarship is meant to support and encourage young women to pursue a degree in STEM. This $500 award will help female high school students pay their college tuition.
SAE Engineering Scholarship Open Jan 4 – Mar 15, 2022
Your intended major – Engineering or other. Refer to the criteria on each scholarship page to determine if you are eligible to apply. Related sciences include: math, chemistry, physics, biology, technologies, computer science, etc.
Doodle for Google TBD 2022
Students in grades K-12 are invited to take part in the Doodle 4 Google contest, and create a doodle that tells the world “What I see for the future.” From crayons to clay, graphic design, or even food, young artists can utilize any materials to bring their creation to life. Like all Google Doodles, each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o -o-g-l-e. One national winner will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship.

The State 4-H Program in Oregon offers scholarships to college-bound high school seniors who are currently enrolled in the Oregon 4-H program and have been members for a minimum of three years, including the current year. Visit site for all available scholarships.

Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Scholarship. Open Nov 1, 2021 – Jan 31, 2022
All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a chapter or state chairman may work with the applicant to put the information together to send to the DAR Scholarship Committee.

Over $10 million offered in scholarships. For graduating high school students going to college the following fall semester. Numerous scholarships are available through this application process, most of which apply to Oregon colleges.

Redmond Kiwanis Club: Glenn Swearingen Vocal Music Scholarship February, 2021/ TBD 2022
For students with vocal musical talents and a record of music activities who plan to continue pursuing vocal music as a recreational life skill or a specific career. This $500 scholarship will be awarded to a chosen student evaluated on the following: Vocal music activities, SAT scores, grade point average, academic record, school activities, financial need, and an essay. HSFCO’s mission is to encourage and inspire interested and qualified Central Oregon students to pursue careers in healthcare by providing funding for educational opportunities.
CEAHEC Scholarships March 2021/ TBD 2022
Cascades East Area Health Education Center and the St. Charles Foundation currently offer student scholarships for those students who have a desire to enter into a health care career and practice in a rural Oregon area as a certified nurse assistant, registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or other health professional. The family of John W. Estelle is offering a one-time $1,000 scholarship to a senior who attends one of the four main high schools in Redmond, Oregon. This scholarship is offered to a qualified high school student that is pursuing a college degree. See Mrs. Reynolds for an application. This scholarship is in honor of Mrs. Reynolds’ late father.

These $1000 scholarships will be based on need and may be used at any college, university, community college, or trade school. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better. This scholarship is available to graduating seniors only.

Applicants must be high school seniors in the United States who have been accepted to and will be attending college (either 4-year or community) in the United States and have an interest in the sciences.

Available to Oregon HS students attending community college beginning no later than Fall, 2021. Need based – you must complete the FAFSA and then apply for the Oregon Promise at the site below.

The SeniorHomes.com Caregiver Scholarship is intended for students who are passionate about helping seniors live healthy lives and are pursuing careers in senior care. The award can be used towards tuition and/or books.
College Board Opportunity Scholarships Various deadlines
Starting in your junior year in HS. The more effort you put in, the more opportunities you have to earn a scholarship. Complete all six, and you’re eligible to earn $40,000.
